Lock & Mane

Hey loveys! Happy Monday! It’s the last week of August, so we sincerely hope you’re enjoying a super slow work week and an absentee boss. Good times.  The Emmys were last night and the looks were all over the place: lots of white, black and navy blue to boot. Also several ridiculous bouffants. Check ‘em out.

Here we have Glee’s car-keying Cheerio Naya Rivera, The Office’s Mindy Kaling, and True Blood’s Anna Paquin. As we noted on Twitter, Anna looks like she was wearing a headband for a while and decided to take it off right before she got to the red carpet, no? There’s actually some sort of clear twine in her hair if you look really close. Odd.

Now, we do love a good old fashioned bouffant. When done correctly, it can be a chic and sexy retro look. But these styles just don’t do it for us (especially the fishing line in Anna’s hair).  Naya is seriously channeling Marge Simpson with the height on that thing and Mindy’s beehive is distracting (although we love the side-swept bang, thumbs up).
