At Lock & Mane we applaud the work of the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation. So when Guess by Marciano and Elle magazine asked us to jump on as a sponsor for their event at the Guess boutique in Soho last week we couldn’t say no. Click here for an NBC New York video about the event.
What a fab party to benefit such a great cause. While we were grabbing our first glass of champagne we ran into two Housewives of NYC, Ramona Singer and Alex McCord (Yes, Alex was there with her creeptastic hubby Simon). We don’t want to be mean (ever!) but Alex’s hair looked like it could use a good wash. We’re here for you girl. Look at all the shampoos we carry. Please tell Simon to buy you some.
Whitney Port and Roxy Olin from The City were joined at the hip. Yay Whitney for rocking some hair bling! Did we spy some Jennifer Behr on your locks? And way to embrace a side pony, Roxy. Very Rachel McAdams at the Sherlock Holmes premiere.

Tinsley, Tinsley Tinsley. You’re single now. Dye your roots. Please. For us. Or use a touch-up pen. We’ll send you one for free.
Joe Zee from Elle. What can we say? We love you. We love your magazine and when we saw you at the party we just wanted to hug you. So we did and you didn’t recognize us at all but that’s ok because we felt happy and bouncy for the rest of the night.
While we stalked a man carrying a tray with the only food we’d seen since lunch we got a glimpse of Eliza Dushku and her gorgeous locks. Perfect waves. We are so sad “Dollhouse” has been canceled simply because it means we can’t see Eliza and her hair once a week.
At the end of the night everyone loved, LOVED, the wonderful gift bags Guess had assembled for the event, which included our own Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo and Rene Furterer Naturia dry shampoo spray. Hopefully Alex went home and used some.
Thanks so much for including us guys!
