We sent some of the wonderful texturizing mist Beach Blow over to domestic diva MommyB. She did a fab review that we think is so spot on for how this product performs in the field. We thought we would excerpt part of it here to show you guys just how well Beach Blow does its job for all the busy mamas out there!
Looking for those beachy locks? I have to say with my hair type it’s a hit or miss trying to get “surfer strands.” I’ve got wavy hair, so not quite straight, not quite curly so some would say I’ve got the best of both worlds, but in my curly world my hair just wants to be a frizzy mess, especially now that my hair has changed after giving birth to my girls. (If you’ve never had children often times hair falls out and texture, thickness, changes sometimes to the point where you find yourself asking if this is really your hair.)
I tried out Blow’s Beach Blow texturizing mist, the mist has been awarded one of Allure magazine’s Best Products for Beachy Waves product. The instruction on the bottle says to spray on wet hair and then blow dry but online it says to take your hair, apply beach blow in sections after blow drying and “scrunch” hair to form natural waves and texture. It is said to give hair a beachy, “tousled” texture. I tried the method on the bottle and my hair did look beach blown, although it was a little limp it did give my hair texture.
If you’re like me I don’t love blow drying my hair a lot in the summer so I like to wash and go, this is a great product to do just that. One of my favorite parts about Beach Blow is the smell, it includes sea salt, what could be more appropriate for the beachy wave look. The 8.5 ounce bottle is the perfect size for travelling and if you’re using the wet method you could even spray after the beach or pool.

At Lock and Mane, we are not only interested in the best hair products, but also what products should be out there, but aren’t yet. So a few weeks back we ran into our curly-haired go-to gal at one of our fave New York Italian restaurants,
As a curly hair girl it took me about 30 years to figure out how to love my curls! Even though I figured out the proper products and techniques to achieving the best curls, something was still missing. My stylist told me that to achieve the best curls I was to avoid wrapping my hair in a towel after washing. But how was I going to get all the water out of my hair? The answer was always: a towel or paper towels. Well, the towels really didn’t work (it made my hair frizzy) so I used paper towels which ended up costing a lot of money and really didn’t get all the water out. But I had no other choice to get that nice frizz-free curl! Then my friends at Lock & Mane introduced me to the
