Lock & Mane

We are a tad obsessed with Scarlett Johansson’s big sexy hair in the new Mango Spring 2010 ad campaign. GORGEOUS!  You may know that we have a special place in our hearts for big bouncy locks, so it’s no surprise that we’re coveting Scarlett’s voluminous uber sexy look in these pics. Ryan’s a lucky man, no?

For a ‘do like this, start with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. We have been loving Rene Furterer’s Volumea products these days. It’s their newest haircare line and the combo of shampoo, no-rinse conditioning spray and mousse is the best we’ve encountered in some time. 

Next, prep your hair for heat styling with Alterna’s Caviar Styling Tonic, which will protect your hair from damage, add shine and help hold the curl.  For extra volume, we recommend blowdrying your locks upside down. 

Set your hair in hot rollers for Scarlett’s bouncy curled ends– we like large ones but depending on your hair type (if your hair is more resistant to curl) you can go to the medium sized ones.  Treat any flyaways with a light shine serum like Leonor Greyl’s Serum de Soie Sublimateur (nothing too heavy that will weigh it down). 

And last but not least, you’ll need a volumizing hair spray to keep the look bouncy and maintain movement! Voilà!
