Dear L&M,
I have very thin, frizzy hair and had tried almost every hair product in creation to try to eliminate the frizz. Everything I tried was greasy or slimy and weighed my hair down to the point of making my hair look dirty. I spoke with customer care at Lock and Mane and, after explaining my situation, they recommended the Jonathan line of hair products to me. Now I am hooked. When I used the
Condition Weightless Smooth Crème Rinse in the shower, my hair instantly felt softer than I ever remember it feeling before. I was worried that the feeling was too good to be true and the softness of my wet hair would translate into a weighed-down blowout, but that didn’t stop me from using the
Create Weightless Balm afterwards. Not only did these products leave my hair soft (and smelling fabulous!) but they got rid of my frizz and didn’t leave my hair looking oily or dirty! On rainy or humid days, I’ve started adding the
Create Smooth Serum into my routine for extra frizz prevention. It’s not overly viscous and goopy like other hair serums and definitely helps to keep my hair frizz-free and shiny. Thanks so much!

Subject: Huile de Palme purchase
This product smells great, but just an FYI to your other customers: I wouldn’t follow it up with a moisturizing shampoo if you have normal or fine hair. I coated my hair in the Huile for about 15 mins and followed it up with
Philip B.’s White Truffle shampoo and conditioner, which I normally love. The result of combining the two was kind of greasy hair. I think there was too much moisture in the White Truffle or something and it didn’t thoroughly rinse out the Huile de Palme. Anyway, I used the Huile de Palme later in the week with a normal shampoo (
Klorane’s Oat Milk) and it worked out much better– really nice, actually. The Philip B. White truffle is normally amazing, but I wouldn’t combine it with the Huile. Just a heads-up to other Huile de Palme users out there: rinse it out with a normal or clarifying shampoo unless you have dry hair.
